When and where is the next Antara?

The next edition is in Chandigarh on Sunday, 25 October 2026, at Tagore Theatre, Sector 18. Antara has played three editions so far — two in Gurgaon and its first Delhi edition at Shah Auditorium on 30 August 2026. Chandigarh is the fourth, and it is a single show — Delhi ran a matinee and an evening, Chandigarh does not. The start time is still being confirmed; the interest list hears it first.

How do I get tickets?

Booking is not open yet. The city and venue are now confirmed — Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh, on 25 October — and the interest list is told first when booking opens, along with the seating and the timings. Joining the list is free and is the only way to hear early.

What actually happens at a bhajan jamming evening?

Accepted Answer

A live band holds the drone and the groove while the whole hall sings the refrains. Two hours move from quiet, grounding bhajans into full-throated collective singing and back to stillness. There is no spectating — the audience is the choir.

Is the experience suitable for all ages?

Antara is open to all ages and draws a multi-generational crowd. Children are welcome with a parent; the format is contemplative, so very young children may find the quieter passages long.

Is there a dress code?

No formal dress code. Comfortable, traditional, or smart-casual attire that lets you sit, sway, and sing freely. Many guests choose kurtas or flowing fabrics in warm tones.

Do I need to know the bhajans, or be able to sing?

No to both. The refrains are simple and repeat, the band leads them, and the words are easy to pick up within a line or two. Nobody is listening to you individually — that is rather the point of a room singing together.
